چکیده

In this paper, we present a WItness based Data priority mEchanism (WIDE) for vehicles in the vicinity of an accident to facilitate liability decisions. WIDE evaluates integrity data generated by these vehicles, called witnesses, event assure reliability be used making decisions and ensure that such are received from credible witnesses. To achieve this, introduces two-level assessment end-to-end initially ascertaining data-producing sensors, validating have not been altered on transit compromised road-side units (RSUs) executing practical byzantine fault tolerance (pBFT) protocol reach consensus reliability. Furthermore, utilises blockchain reputation management system (BRMS) only highly reputable witnesses utilised as contributing evidence facilitating Finally, formally verify proposed framework against requirements using Automated Verification Internet Security Protocols Applications (AVISPA) with High-Level Protocol Specification Language (HLPSL). Qualitative arguments show our is secured identified security attacks assures decisions, while quantitative evaluations demonstrate proposal fully autonomous vehicle forensics.

An Enhanced Message Priority Mechanism in IEEE 802.11p Based Vehicular Networks

IEEE 802.11p is a standard MAC protocol for wireless access in vehicular environments (WAVEs). If a packet collision happens when a safety message is sent out, IEEE 802.11p chooses a random back-off counter value in a fixed-size contention window. However, depending on the random choice of back-off counter value, it is still possible that less important messages are sent out first while more im...

A Geographic Location-based Security Mechanism for Intelligent Vehicular Networks

In Intelligent Vehicular Networks, featured as car-to-car and car-toinfrastructure wireless communication, most applications need important location information or credential information. We address a location-based encryption method that not only ensures messages confidentiality but also authenticates identity and location of communication peers. The authentication of location means that a mes...

Performance analysis of DSRC priority mechanism for road safety applications in vehicular networks

Dedicated short range communications (DSRC) has been regarded as one of the most promising technologies to provide a robust medium and affordable enough to be built into every vehicle. It is designed to support both road safety and commercial applications. Road safety applications will require reliable and timely wireless communications. However, as the medium access control (MAC) layer of DSRC...
